Our York location is open and accepting new clients. Due to COVID-19, we are following a hybrid treatment model which consists of both in-person and online telehealth services.
Our York treatment center offers intensive outpatient therapy and a partial hospitalization program for adults. We accept Medicaid and county funding, as well as most private insurances. Learn more or make an appointment:
Treatment Center Hours
Our York location is open Monday through Friday, with flexible office hours. Intensive outpatient groups meet in the morning and evening so that you can find a time that works for you. We strive to make treatment flexible so that it works for you.
About Our York Location
Our treatment center is located in downtown York on South George Street. Our location is convenient for those living in the city, but is also close to Rt. 30 for those driving from the suburbs.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Intensive outpatient offers a higher level of support than regular counseling sessions. This program can help you gain control over current drug/alcohol use, or maintain sobriety after an inpatient stay. You will participate in group counseling, see a therapist for individual sessions, and attend family therapy.
Partial hospitalization is often used as an alternative to an inpatient stay. This structured treatment provides six hours of programming each day and incorporates holistic elements such as yoga and meditation. Roundtrip van transportation is available for York County residents.
Clinical evaluations will be scheduled for each individual client beginning treatment. The first step will be a comprehensive biopsychosocial clinical evaluation by one of our qualified professionals. Upon completion of the evaluation, a treatment plan will be created between the individual and the counselor and/or referrals for appropriate ancillary services will be provided.
Addictions Awareness & DUI Programs
Our Addictions Awareness & DUI programming fulfills court-ordered treatment requirements for those who have been charged with a DUI. This program can also be a good starting place for someone who doesn’t meet the criteria for an addiction but wants to gain more insight into their drug or alcohol use.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based treatment approach that is used in conjunction with traditional counseling and other therapies. MAT provides relief of the physical symptoms associated with drug or alcohol withdrawal. Counseling alone may help change an individual’s attitude towards substance use, but it is often more effective when combined with MAT. In our York facility we offer Suboxone only during office visits Monday through Wednesday. Please call for more information.
Outpatient Group Therapy
Rehab After Work also offers outpatient groups at select locations. These are designed for people in recovery and include:
• Transitional groups for those who have completed the IOP program successfully
• Long-term recovery skills groups for those who have been able to maintain abstinence for a significant period of time and are working on long-term recovery skills
• Groups focused on specific skills, topics, or themes
These outpatient groups are offered 1-2 days each week for 1 hour and 30 minutes per session.
